A new collection of Mighty Oaks music is now available. Titled Owen Keenan Mighty Oaks, the set collects 15 tracks recorded from December 2010 to August 2011 (there is also a 16th track - 'You Heard It Here' available as a single, recorded December 2011).
January 2012 sees the release of Noon, the band comprising Owen Keenan, Derek Volling, Dan Ralph and Marc Jenkins that was active from 2001-2002. 15 tracks in all with original cover art by Pete Keenan.
Firebrick Records is also proud to present a long-overdue re-release of Wilder's 1996 full-length CD, Summer Will Come To You, enhanced and expanded edition. The original album in its entirety is now available, augmented by several bonus tracks (including two Live tracks from CBGBs Gallery in NYC). The album will be available online initially (itunes, napster, etc.) early December 2010 with an eye towards a physical CD - possibly Quadraphonic 8-Track Cartridge - release for the New Year.
From the mists of time comes the long player that never was: Befour The Rhyme by Circle Of Ill Health, a timely combining of Circle's ultra-rare vinyl EP 'A Rhyme In Four Parts' (1990) with its ultra-ultra-rare cassette-only follow-up 'Before The Word' (1991). Nine incandescent tracks in all and featuring Melanie Tinken's stunning cover shot, this is Firebrick Records' most ambitious release so far - 20 years on - to finally collect Circle's studio adventures under one umbrella and to rescue from the vault one of the great could-have-been LPs of a certain time, a certain place. Many thanks to Diego Zumer for his graphic design.
We're down to our last box of Mighty Oaks' 'Called From A Dream' b/w 'Prize Of Then' 45s. Recorded in 2006 with an earlier lineup featuring Dan Ralph on drums - Firebrick Records is selling the remainder for $2.00 a single (plus shipping & handling). Not on itunes, this record is an original artyfact (to purloin the 'Nuggets' parlance). Use the contact form and let us know if you would like a copy. Paypal accepted (bullion too).
That's All Folks!
